As civil engineers, our job deals with solving problems and making decisions to better our community. Not only do we build, civil engineers have to keep infrastructure running effectively and adapt it to meet challenges, such as population growth, climate change and natural disasters.

We must also find ways to deliver the infrastructure needed when there's little money in the pot to pay for it. Put simply, civil engineers have to come up with solutions to complex problems and implement them.

So we literally shape the world we live in!

Unfortunately, many engineers apply an unstructured way of thinking. Unstructured here means they often do not solve the real problems because they often focus on the symptoms.

Realising this, CKNet partnered with Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands and IHE Delft, to create the most comprehensive course possible to help you with your engineering problems.

By joining this course, you can solve any existing and new problems that have never been solved before. You can even fix problems without having previous experiences or examples!

All engineers are welcome! Although our main examples are for hydraulic structures, the approach, tips, advice, and tools you’ll find in this course can be applied to fields other than hydraulic engineering. What this course will teach is the systematic thinking approach. This approach will help you with even the most complex engineering problems.

If you're worried about the time, don't fret! This course is self-paced so you can learn at your own speed and time. It is, however, only open for eight weeks from 16 April 2018 to 8 June 2018, so make sure you complete the course before it closes.
